Steps to File a Claim

1. Tap at the vet

Pay with your Nibbles card and earn 3x rewards on the visit.

2. Share the details

Answer a few quick questions we email you after the visit. That's all we need to start filing.

3. We file the claim

We pull the vet records, prepare everything, and submit the claim to our insurance partner.

4. Get reimbursed

Once approved, you're reimbursed for eligible expenses above your deductible.

Why we need 12 months of vet history

Insurance covers new health problems, not ones your pet already had. So before your first claim, we and Kanguro review your pet's recent vet records to set a clear baseline.

• If your pet is over 1 year old, send the last 12 months of vet records.
• If your pet is under 1 year old, upload whatever vet records you have.

Frequently asked questions

• What if I forget to use my Nibbles card at the vet? Your pet is still covered. You'll file a manual claim from your dashboard.

• What if the vet doesn't take credit cards? You can pay however you need to and then file a manual claim.

• When can I file a claim? Once your pet's insurance policy is active, any vet visit after that may be covered.

• What if my claim gets denied? We'll tell you exactly why and your dashboard will show what the insurance partner saw.

• What if my pet doesn't have any vet history? Get a wellness check as soon as possible to establish your pet's health history.
